The short version

Quietleaf is a fully offline habit and photo-journal app. There is no account, no analytics, and no network transmission of your data. Everything you create — your habits, notes, photos, streaks, and settings — stays on your device. We do not collect, see, or share any of it.

What we collect

Nothing. Quietleaf does not collect personal data, usage analytics, crash telemetry, advertising identifiers, or any other information about you or your device. There are no third-party SDKs phoning home.

Where your data lives

All of your data is stored locally on your device only. Habits, check-ins, notes, and streaks are kept in an on-device database (SQLite). Photos you attach to a check-in are saved as ordinary files in the app's private storage on your device. App preferences (such as your optional quiet/sleep window for reminders) are stored locally on the device. Because there is no account and no server, your data is never uploaded, synced to the cloud, or transmitted off your device by Quietleaf.

Camera and photos

Quietleaf can use your device camera so that each daily check-in can be a photo in your journal. The camera is used only to capture photos you choose to attach to a check-in. Photos remain on your device. We do not upload or share them. You can decline or revoke camera permission at any time in your device settings; the app continues to work, with check-ins that have notes but no photo.

Notifications

If you opt in to gentle reminders, Quietleaf schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated and delivered entirely on-device and are not sent through, or visible to, any external server.

Export and import

You can export your journal and import it back. Export and import are always user-initiated: you trigger them yourself, and any sharing happens through your operating system's standard share sheet, entirely under your control. Quietleaf does not automatically send your export anywhere.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party, because we do not collect or have access to it in the first place.

Children's privacy

Quietleaf does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, as it does not collect personal information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be made available with a new "last updated" date.
